All Things Work Together for Good, For Those Who Love God.

The Bible’s promise in Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good, for those who love God,” is a powerful reminder that God’s plans, even in challenging times, are always working for our benefit. Often, life’s trials and unexpected turns can feel overwhelming, but God has a purpose behind each difficulty. Jeremiah 29:11 reinforces this truth, as God assures us, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Though we may not always understand His methods, His intentions are always good.
God often uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. This principle applies in times when we feel abandoned, or when circumstances appear to be against us. When people leave, or when doors close, God may be uprooting us from places that do not serve His purposes in our lives, just as He did with Joseph. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph says to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” Through betrayal and hardship, God positioned Joseph exactly where he needed to be to save many lives.
Similarly, James 1:12 encourages us to remain steadfast in faith: “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life.” Even when it seems that life is working against us, God uses trials to strengthen us and to bring about His good plans. In the end, when we look back on all that He has brought us through, we often see the purpose and blessing He had in mind from the beginning.
May He manifest His purpose in our lives this week 🙏
Shalom!
